Jomtien Immigration today.......

Got there at 11:35 to find a locked door and sign they are closed 11:-1 pm. Might not be new, but I didn't know.

Got back at 1, got in line, checked in and got my queue. Got called about 15 m later only to find I downloaded the wrong form from the immigration website. Double checked, correct form name, but they have the wrong form posted. Got the right form, dropped it off, was told come back in 1 hour.

Now the reason for the post........2:30 locked door. Rather Un helpful IO outside telling people they could not queue unless they had an appt. He waved me by when I showed my passport w my "pick up" number. Door was still locked. Headed in through the out door and he stopped me told me get in line. I explained door is locked, cannot. Told me again then said "check covid". Explained again door was locked and I "check covid" 1 hour ago when I dropped my paperwork. He waved me in through the out door.

As I waited for the person in front of me to finish they started letting 5 people at a time in the locked door. Saw 2 groups get let in w a line down the sidewalk.

When I left he was still outside saying appointment and checking queues, still had a line. Ran into a friend waiting to do her 90 day. Had a queue number and was sent outside to wait. Said she had been there almost 30 minutes when I left.

Inside had about 30 people waiting, about the same or a tad more outside. I have seen Jomtien much, much busier, but they seemed to be enforcing "no appointment, no entry".

Get there early or get an appt online. To quote Tod "plan accordingly" šŸ˜Ž

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Immigration Officers prefer their forms filled out with blue ink. Is that correct?
