Hello everyone,

I entered Thailand 11th of September and got a two-month tourist visa. I would like to extend it for one more month. Now I have a few questions, and I hope you guys can help me shed some light on them.

1. Should the TM30 dates be accurate? If I stay in my current condo from 15th of october till 9th of november. Should these dates be absolutely included, or can they be different? (My landlord gave me different dates from 28th of october to 15th of november, because it seems the apartment isn't registered for renting out)

2. I heard the day you apply for a 30-day visa extension is when the countdown starts. So if my two-month visa expires 9th of November, should I apply one week before, or are a few days before enough?

3. What additional tips could you give me for a smooth process?

Thanks <3

Extension extends your 60 day stamp by 30 days, so doesn't matter when you apply just give yourself extra time in case you need to get something more. The TM30 should be in effect for the day you apply.

Lily Kay . . you don't have a 2-month tourist visa. You entered without a visa and got stamped in for a 60-days stay permit. You can buy a 30-days extension of this stay permit on Immigration for 1900 THB. Immigration will only service you if you are properly TM30 registered, so I do not see any problem with your plan

As long as you have a valid TM30 receipt from your landlord the day you go to immigration. In most immigration offices you can apply when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, a couple of offices will only allow you to apply when you have less than a week left. You don't lose any time by going early, the 30 days gets added to your current stamp
