Hi everyone. Quick question.

I don’t have a university degree but I fluently speak English, Japanese and Italian. Would I still be able to get a working visa and thus, a company willing to sponsor me? Or is it unrealistic??

Hi - I'm in Ubon Ratchatani on a 60 day tourist visa; I am fluent in German (native speaker) and English (lived in Australia for the last 40+ years) and I wonder how best to find a job as an English (and/or German) teacher in the Ubon area - amd then to obtain a working visa ... and I have a bachelor degree in architecture and engineering. Thanks!

I am 51 from the UK. Struggling a bit to secure a job in Chiangmai - all English teaching jobs require a degree (which I don’t have) plenty of other qualifications including TEFL and over 20 years experience working with children. Not easy to secure work. Any ideas for work, visas etc to get me there as quickly as possible. Any help or advice much appreciated

Hi guys,

Can you be self employed in Thailand?

In the uk I worked as a business consultant and part time teacher of business management. I was thinking of offering private/one to one business and English tutoring from my home or remotely, can I do that? And if so what visa would I need? I’m currently here as married to Thai wife. Don’t want to go through the hassle of setting a business up here, with all the conditions that come with that.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nomads, anyone here who has experience or knowledge on the below areas, I would greatly appreciate your insights as I will be travelling to Thailand.

1. Work Visa Options: What types of work visas are available for teaching roles with a limited number of hours per week (e.g., 5 hours per week)

2. Are there opportunities for teaching software skills part-time, specifically as a software developer?

3. Teaching English: For those teaching English, what are the best practices for securing a work visa, and what qualifications are needed for part-time roles?

4. Teaching Entrepreneurship: Are there any programs or institutions looking for part-time entrepreneurship instructors?

5. Which cities or areas in Thailand don’t have or less stray dogs? (Where it’s safe to travel with a barking dog around other dogs)

If there are any specific resources, agencies, or contacts that could assist me, please feel free to share.

Thank you in advance for your help!

What about volunteering in Thailand? I am a qualified teacher and I also have TrinityCertTESOL. I was thinking about offering to teach English in a local school? How would I go about it?

Hi, I'm planning to go to Thailand in May and look for an English teaching job. I have a US passport. I understand you can get 60 days on a tourist visa, so I'm hoping that's enough to apply and get work. I'm expecting that I will need to then go to another country and wait while the visa processes. Do you know how long it takes and if I can go to a neighbouring country?

Hello,

I am hoping to move to Thailand in 2023 with my family and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a cultural exchange/language pen pal? I am from the USA and teach English. I love Thai and Taiwanese drama and speak some Korean and Hindi. I am also currently learning Thai and Japanese. I would be happy to help you improve your English, etc. and would love to learn more about Thailand from you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
