TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the requirements for maintaining the THB 800,000 deposit necessary for certain types of Thai visas. Commenters clarify that funds must remain in the account for at least three months after the extension is granted, with a minimum balance of THB 400,000 required for the rest of the year. Additionally, it's noted that while one immigration office in Jomtien requires proof of the deposit three months post-extension, most others typically check the account balance only during the next annual extension application.

I think there is only ONE immigration office in the country (Jomtien) that makes foreigners update their bank book and then show back up 3 months after they got their extension to show the 800K baht is still in the account. All the rest check the following year when you apply for your new extension (which is why more and more offices want a year detail transaction history print out from your bank)
good that they put that in your passport though (y)

That is to tell you that the seasoning requirements for the 800K baht banked money method are that the funds STAY in your account for 3 months AFTER you get the extension granted and then the balance cannot go below 400K baht the rest of the year.

It is in case you show up next year without meeting those requirements and say you didn't know about it ๐ฎ
In Bangkok most of the time they have us hold up the requirements when they take our photo at the immigration desk to make sure they have proof we knew ๐
