TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Retirement Visa in Thailand, you need to deposit 800,000 baht in a Thai-owned bank. For the first-time application, the money must be in the bank for at least 60 days prior to your application. For subsequent applications, the amount must be in the bank for a minimum of 90 days. Alternatively, you can use the Income Method if you can prove a monthly income equivalent to 65,000 baht without needing to deposit the funds.

If you applying to convert to a single entry IN country, then the money only needs to be in the bank that day.

Or a combination of income and deposit.

If you are not aware you can also use the Income Method where you can prove or attest that you receive in some form of income from outside Thailand (usually Home Country) the monthly amount equivalent to 65,000 Baht... No money in the bank needs to be proved.

Yes 1st. time you apply for the One Year Extension of Stay - for being age 50 or over - sometimes called Retirement, the Seasoning / Aging of the 800k Baht is 2 months - actually 60 days. 2nd time you apply it is 3 months
