With the tm30 and tm47 I’m wondering if anyone rents a very cheap place so use then hops around living anywhere? These forms don’t look fun unless you are happy where you are and staying long term.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the TM30 and TM47 immigration forms in Thailand, focusing on how they impact expats looking for cheap rental accommodations and moving frequently. Key points include that the TM47 has been discontinued in favor of the TM30, which requires landlords to register their tenants' locations officially. While some users find these forms easy to fill out, they can be inconvenient for those who frequently change residences. Notably, failing to complete and present these forms can result in fines if one requires immigration services in the future. Although some users suggest that there's little scrutiny at borders, others stress the importance of having these forms if intending to stay long-term.

Both these forms are important the TM 47 is filled out and lodged with immigration when you have spent 90 consecutive days in Thailand. The TM 30 is used to register your stay at the address you are staying in Thailand. If you are staying here for a long duration and you need to visit immigration they will definitely ask you to produce the copies of the above forms, and if you don’t have them or haven’t done them it can mean a fine for you.
Is it? I have not done 90 days report so far, I must have mixed it with TM37 that was before in place of TM30 but was (TM37) an obligation of the tenant to fill in, not the landlord.
The forms are easy and it is compulsory to have your location registered. The owner of every place that you stay is required by law to register your stay.
my wife has an Airbnb and completes TM30. It is a requirement but remember that Airbnb is not legal in Thailand. If you are certain that a new TM30 has not been completed then you should be ok.
