Once

I am applying for my non-retirement visa in Hanoi Vietnam. I just have two questions:

Q1. when I come back into Thailand (hopefully achieving my Visa from the embassy in Hanoi) do I need to have a booked flight ticket back to the UK?

Q2. I am staying at studio flats in Hanoi, will this be accepted as my accommodation location for my online application?

Once again, any advice will be much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a non-retirement visa (Non-O) in Hanoi, Vietnam, and has two questions regarding the application process. Firstly, they inquire if a return flight ticket to the UK is necessary upon returning to Thailand, which several comments clarify that it is not required for a Non-O visa. Secondly, they ask if their accommodation in Hanoi (studio flats) will be accepted for their visa application, with comments suggesting that proof of their current location (entry stamp and accommodation booking) is required. Overall, users provide various advice regarding travel documentation and accommodation proof necessary for the visa application.

For Q2 - they will require "proof of current location". When we did ours, Airbnb receipt alone wasn't enough, so we had to provide our passport stamp for Vietnam and our boarding pass for our flight to Vietnam (hope you kept yours)

Q1. No an onward ticket is not required for a Non O visa.

Q2. Up to the embassy in Hanoi but generally they don’t care where you’re staying as long as you’re in the region that that embassy covers and can prove your stay there whilst applying for the visa.

I presume you are referring to a non-o visa based on retirement. There is no requirement for an onward ticket as that only applies to visa-exempt and visa on arrival. You will be required to prove you are in Vietnam so use your entry stamp and accommodation booking for the address. You will need pdf copies of your bank statements (they do not accept screen shots)

I wouldn't get one if they ask for a return ticket get a flight to Vietnam or Singapore to see you through it and make sure it is a cancellation ticket so you don't waist money
