(HANOI) What are the chances that after being on "pending approval" for over a week, and after they already requested a higher quality picture of my passport, they ask me for more documents or an interview?

I'm flying out of Vietnam on Monday (not to Thailand) and I'm afraid they will ask for an interview or something extra. Should I maybe send an email to check why is it taking so long?

Hi Everybody. I just received my non immigrant o visa, only 2 days after applying which was nice.

But dates are valid from today for 3 months and not from the date I arrive, which I put in the application. Is this normal or a mistake? Will I only have until the valid date on e visa, or will I still get 3 months from whenever I enter?

Preparing to apply for DTV in Vientiane, Laos.

I've seen some reports saying that the 500k THB must be in the account continuously for the preceeding three months.

Can anyone confirm or contradict this? I'm planning to transfer money into the account just before applying, since it's currently spread over several accounts.

Does the FINANCIAL EVIDENCE has to be from mu privat account? Or can I send financial evidence from my business account which indicates my business name which is NOT my personal name (BUT sending all the papers where you can see my personal name as the owner of this business).

Being based in Vientiane, I have several questions with regards to multiple entry tourist visa.

1) Tod Daniels has affirmed in a forum which I read that proof of residence in Laos wouid be okay with the stay permit and work permit. ( please confirm )

2) 200,000 baht has to shown. Can this be shown in a UK bank account to the equilvalent in thai baht? Let’s just say 40 is the rate.

3) How necessary is the hotel booking and mode of transport? I’ll be crossing at theNong khai bridge mainly for day trips and overnight trips. Please advise .

I am an American. I am planning my retirement and will marry a Thai national soon. My question is, is it possible to have my retirement income deposited into a Thai bank account? Also when I'm eligable, the same for Social security? Is it easy to open a bank account in Thailand, Hua Hin? Any advise or exerience is welcome.
