I tried to search "medical" to see what people have submitted for this, but the search function is failing.
I plan to apply in Hanoi next month. I could apply as workcation, but I also recently found out I need a major surgery. So, I'm not sure which is better to apply with. If you applied under medical at Hanoi, what did you have to submit?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around applying for a medical visa in Thailand from Hanoi. The user intends to apply amidst health concerns requiring major surgery but is uncertain whether to pursue a medical visa or a workcation visa. Other users provide insights about the visa application process, indicating that one must get assessed by a hospital in Thailand and have a treatment plan prepared. Additionally, the search function on the site appears to be malfunctioning, leading to frustration among users trying to find related information.
yeah, the problem with the search is that it will use every word. So it will search everything with "soft" and everything with "power" and everything with "medical". So you do get some hits I guess, but still have to wade through a load of other nonsense that has nothing to do with it.
Medical doesn't seem to be a word people use in their posts. Instead search for something related like "doctor", "dentist" or "hospital" and you find many posts.
You will have to go to a hospital in Thailand to get assessed and have a treatment plan written up and then hope the hospital supplies the details for the visa
Anonymous participant 909 Right, I should've mentioned I already got assessed at Sriphat and Maharaj and I have a set appointment for the surgery. I have doctor notations from the assessments and the referral notes and the surgery appointment document. But I'm wondering if that's all they need or if I literally have to have a singular treatment plan document written up. And I'm not sure if it's easier to go the workcation route or medical. I haven't seen many posts for medical applications or if they were approved.
