Why dont the banks / goverment allow people on tourist visas to open highly limited bank accounts that could be a win win. E.G limit transfer amounts in / out monthly. Limit transfers to foreign accounts etc that way day to day spening is possible but business / work isn't.

I don't know about you guys but I would be happy with a bank account with a tiny limit such as 1,000 baht per month all my large spending can be on credit card and my small day to day stuff on my thai account.

This limit would stop people running businesses or getting paid through their thai bank accounts but allow legitimate tourists to use the bank account

Hi everyone! I was just asked to provide additional documents, and I’ve submitted them. Will the process go faster than the initial review, or will I need to wait another two weeks?

Thanks

After having received the DTV, should one still keep the funds in that bank account in the event they ask for a reconfirmation anytime later on for whatever reason. Or are chances low they will ask for a proof of these funds again within the 5 year period of the visa? Would be a shame to keep the money sitting idle there for 5 years.

Thank you all so much for your help in this group. I've already received approval. The entire process took about 10 days, from application to approval. They only asked me for some company documents. I applied at the embassy in Santiago, Chile.

Non 0 multi entry marriage visa.

Need a bit of help. I work 28/28 day rotation and need a bit of help with the new Non 0 EVISA.

Previously I was able to turn my non 0 into a multi entry easily now I have been told with the new EVISA you need to stay in thailand for 60day cooling period before you can change to multi entry.

Unfortunately I can not do that due to leaving for work after 28days in country.

Does anyone know a way to change the non 0 to multi entry after onky being 28days in thailand

I applied for a Non-O visa through the Thai Lisbon office on the 2nd of October, and I have just received my approval email. The visa is valid from 13 October (today) until 9 January. However, I won’t be flying to Thailand until 10 November, which leaves me with insufficient time to apply for a Non-Immigrant O-A visa. The money will not be in a Thai bank for the required 2 calendar months.

Any advice or suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Tod Daniels, I will be in Bkk on Feb 2026. My cousin will join me the last 2 weeks. I have reserved a room for my cousin from USA. The reservation is in my name. Will this be a problem when my cousin applies for TDAC? Should I contact the hotel?

My first time I Plan to Travel from US to Thailand on 60 day & do an Extension for 90 days total.

My Question is would there be an issue if I book my return flight for 90 days instead of the regular 60 day?

Would immigration give me issues or denied entry if my return ticket is 90 days?
