I have a 90-day NON O RETIREMENT visa. If I leave the country and re-enter from a neighboring country about ten days later, can I get a 60-day tourist visa exemption?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks if they can receive a 60-day tourist visa exemption upon leaving Thailand on a 90-day NON O RETIREMENT visa and returning ten days later. Comments suggest that obtaining a re-entry permit is advisable to maintain the 90-day status, while eligibility for the tourist exemption depends on the user's nationality and current visa situation.

I did get questioned why I didn't keep my non-o. I told them the bank closed my account, which was true. Then they stamped me on a tourist exemption.

If your country is one of the 92 plus that's eligible for the free visa exempt entry stamp, then yes.

Can you get a re entry permit on a 90 day? I thought you had to get the 1 year extension with re entry permit. Possibly they may not have had time to get the money in the bank yet??

Depends on your history if you have time on your 90 day just get a re entry permit but if your trying to extend your stay in Thailand they’ll want to know why you didn’t get a yearly extension it’s up to the IO
