I have a 90-day NON O RETIREMENT visa. If I leave the country and re-enter from a neighboring country about ten days later, can I get a 60-day tourist visa exemption?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can get a 60-day tourist visa exemption if they leave Thailand for ten days while on a 90-day NON O RETIREMENT visa. Community responses suggest that obtaining a re-entry permit to maintain the 90-day visa might be advisable. They also mention that eligibility for the tourist exemption depends on the user's country, and there are concerns about questioning from immigration if the user's application for a longer stay isn't clear.

I did get questioned why I didn't keep my non-o. I told them the bank closed my account, which was true. Then they stamped me on a tourist exemption.

If your country is one of the 92 plus that's eligible for the free visa exempt entry stamp, then yes.

Can you get a re entry permit on a 90 day? I thought you had to get the 1 year extension with re entry permit. Possibly they may not have had time to get the money in the bank yet??

With the 800k 2 months in the Thaibankaccount before application and all the required docs why should the one year extension be denied?

Depends on your history if you have time on your 90 day just get a re entry permit but if your trying to extend your stay in Thailand they’ll want to know why you didn’t get a yearly extension it’s up to the IO

Why not get a re-entry permit to keep your 90 day stamp live?
