Totally get that—it’s a bit dull waiting around. I just explored local spots, ate lots of street food, and hung out in cafes. Meeting other expats helped pass the time too. It’s not exciting, but you can make it enjoyable.

Are we allowed to travel around the country while our visa is processing? My DTV is currently processing in Hanoi. Am I allowed to go all the way down to Saigon? Or is it advisable to stay in Hanoi?

HCMC is decent. Take some time to get to know it like a local. Instead of a tourist. There’s so much amazing food. 🫡

Ho Chi Minh is a great city.

Absolutely delicious food and tons of things to see and do.

You obviously have the internet and social media.

It’s so easy to search for things to do.

Start with Klook.

We did tour cuchi tunnels was interesting and the jeep tour of museum pick up from hotel. Otherwise routine of gym and some massages. But it was a long haul. Shopping and trying to avoid getting run over by motorbikes.

it’s one of the boring country in this region. Disgusting food, huge scam when it comes to dating, Vietnamese are also very closed minded when it comes to dating foreigners, jam traffic and honk honk every second. Will never put my feet into that country again.
