Do I need to authenticate my employment contract and company's registration for the DTV application?

For business owners who applied for DTV:

Is it true that the employment contract + the company's registration have to be "authenticated by the embassy of the country where the company is located"?

I found this info in some official PDF checklist, but consulates/embassies never mention it. Wanted to know before I start the application.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to authenticate an employment contract and company registration for a DTV visa application appears to be inconsistent and may vary by consulate. While some users mention official checklists referencing such authentication, many others assert it's not necessary as long as the company is publicly registered and searchable. Various comments highlight experiences where documentation was accepted without additional authentication, suggesting that specific embassy requirements might differ.

Guess how the register is in the country of the company i guess. In norway they have a portal where you can get the info from. So i just got the info from there and embassy in hanoi approved it with no stamps needed

Each embassy might ask different things

Hello, there's no such requirement. However, if your registered business is available to search on public platforms or govt business directories, it's useful.

Mine wasn't ... just exported a PDF from the registrar in English. Also gave them contract with the client with no end-date and last few invoices with bank statements.

When it is written on an official checklist posted by anonymous on Facebook or Youtube it must be correct.

We all know that Embassies have no clue and the application website ask random questions.

Anonymous participant Sorry, the search worked but directed to an old and not updated website.

Since 01 Jan 2025 ALL application for VISA outside Thailand is done on-line

The page you refer to still links to application forms to apply in person.

The DTV can only be applied for while being outside of Thailand.

Read the questions on this website.

If u are the owner, then submit only company registration. Why employment contract?

Anonymous participant 533 maybe I don’t need the contract.

Having said that, I have an employment contract between myself and the company so it actually might make sense. But in any case, the question is if it has to be “authentificated” by the embassy in my country.
