I’m currently in Thailand on a DT visa, and my wife is here on a tourist visa. Can I apply for her DT visa on my behalf, or is there another way for her to get a long-term visa? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

You can’t apply for her DT visa on your behalf directly. She’ll usually need to apply at a Thai consulate or embassy outside Thailand. Another option is for her to do a visa run and apply for a DT visa from a consulate abroad. Some people use agents to help with the process, but she generally can’t switch from tourist to DT visa inside Thailand.
