I’ll be applying for my ED Visa in Malaysia using the e-visa system- I am wondering if I have to stay in the city I apply in? I.e. if I apply in Kuala Lumpur, can I wait for approval in Penang or Lankawi? (Asking because my school had me choose the city that I’m applying from)

I have another question American passport, I have you go to Laos to apply for my Non O due to bad advice, what i would like to know is we are driving up to nong khai then leaving the car at immigration, take a bus or train over apply, pay wait. My question is will my Thai girlfriend be ok going into Laos or will they try and prevent her from going? What will we need to have to make sure she can cross? I would appreciate any directions that will help

My Non-O retirement Visa 2nd extension is due in a month, I am based in Chiang Mai and currently banking with Bangkok Bank. As required by Immigration I have seasoned my 800K for two months prior to applying for a bank certificate in preparation for the renewal. However, according to some recent posts I obviously fall short of the additional two months that Bangkok Bank started to impose in July.

Could someone with recent renewal experience offer guidance on how to navigate this predicament? I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Yesterday I went to Bangkok Bank Jomtien branch in Pattaya to get my annual letter confirming monthly transfers of 65,000 bahts which in the past Immigration has required. The bank officer told me that they no longer provide such letters as in the past, and that I had to take my bank books for the past 12 months + photocopies of the relevant pages showing the monthly transfers, and that Immigration will accept this as proof. The bank does still issue a letter confirming that I am an account holder that will state the balance on hand on the day of renewal application., but that's all. Has anyone else had this experience?

If I arrive in Thailand without applying for any kind of visa can I extend my 30 days to 60?

65k baht deposit…… for the people using this method instead of the 800k baht. How are you transferring the 65k per month? I have heard if I use Wise, the ACH may not be accepted as proof the funds came from outside of Thailand. Are you using wire transfers every month?
