Have you all been getting your bank accounts closed if you had your account before you got your DTV? I’m scared to go into my branch and hand them my passport. I use my ibanking quite a bit. Any info on this? Is it in fact bangkok banks policy to close your account if you’re on a dtv?

I’m gonna try the drivers license trick. That is a god idea. Unfortunately I was just forced to renew a 5 year (my secomd 5 year) to a 2 year also due to Dtv. I wonder if the 2 year license will give them a heads up to request my passport?

If I want to apply for a non-O visa based on marriage, do I apply online before leaving Canada, or in person after arrival?

I will be applying for my retirement non-o visa from southern India. Can that be done online or does it require a visit to a Thai embassy?

I just got my DTV approved (woo hoo)

Looking into cell phone tricks..

Thinking about parking my USA number to Google voice $10mo?

Then just getting a new sim out in Thailand?

I’ll be out there for over 1 year.

What’s the trick to save your number and not pay a lot monthly?

(I also don’t have an unlocked phone so my alternative is buying an unlocked phone and dial sim I think? But paying AT&T international plan is pricy.)
