Has anyone had success changing their employment details (e.g., if a change of job has occurred) for the same application?

Hi, I meet the age and financial requirements for Non-O and DTV. As I plan to do some remote work I think the DTV is better for me. I've not started the remote work yet so I will be applying for the DTV by going the soft power route and taking a cooking course as I love Thai food and cooking! I read a post somewhere that the Embassy required them to show a profile. I do not have this and wondered if anyone has recently successfully applied from London Embassy without needing to show prior proof of professional cooking skills? Also can you swap between the soft power options? Eg start with cooking, later have some medical appointments when returning to Thailand?

I submitted my DTV under Workcation on 30th April and still “Pending Approval”. As of now, the status still shows “Pending Approval.” Meanwhile, my friends, who applied on the same date, already received their Visa approvals on May 10th. I am beginning to wonder if there might be an issue or delay specific to my application that I may have overlooked. I would greatly appreciate any insights from others who may have experienced a similar situation, or any advice on what steps I could take next.

Hey everyone, I have a UK passport, I work for a UK company, pay tax in UK, am registered to live and vote in the same address in UK as my bank account is registered at (one of my parent's house). Should I apply at the UK embassy? I am based variously around SE Asia. Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam usually. Is it better to apply in my home country or in the country I'm actually in? . Please just be Kreng jai and Jai yen in your answers 🙏🏻 Khob khun krap

DTV granted in Jakarta.

I arrived on May 8th, submitted the request the same night. Soft power, cooking school.

Unaware of the long weekend (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th!!!), used the time to visit every museum and park in the city.

Friday 16th came a request from the Consulate to update information about the cooking school (Company registration, school license); the school sent me the info immediately, I uploaded it the same Friday. So far, only 3 working days.

Today, Sunday, I got the email with my approved DTV visa for 5 years. Feeling happy :)

I'm doing my DTV application now. And I have accommodation with the muay thai gym I go for the soft power visa.

So, in the section where you put your accommodation, I have one night in Bangkok, then the day after, I will travel to the city where the gym is and have three nights' accommodation somewhere else before I go to the gym.

I only have 2 accommodation types I can fill in.

What is best to do? Skip the second accommodation in the form and just do Bangkok and then the gym?

Hope you understand my question.

Hello I am going to apply for DTV visa tomorrow from cambodia thai embassy and I have a concern about bank statement as it shows “bank statement for three months” on application form but it says nothing about holding on the account in cambodia thai embassy page. I just generated the bank statement today as well and over 500,000 thb is there in my statement. Can anyone assist me on this? Thank you!

I'm trying to decide between the digital nomad option and the Soft Power option (Muay Thai). I have a wife and 2 kids (4 and under) that I hope can be dependents on my DTV. We do intend to stay in Thailand for most of the 5 years (while complying with the 180 day requirement) as we will be receiving financial support to do volunteer work.

I hope to try and get our application right the first time and thus I have concerns about both options:

Digital Nomad - I have solid proof of income from working as a mental health therapist with various firms but I will be working minimally with these firms if we were in Thailand because of our transition to volunteer work and time zone differences. If we did get approved for this option, would I have to show that I've earned income from these firms while re-entering Thailand on the DTV?

Muay Thai - I have no problem attending classes for years if we get approved for this option. My concern is whether my wife and kids will be approved as dependents since Im assuming most people pursuing this option are single men.

Any feedback/clarity you can give will be appreciated!
