I
informed that I could apply for a non-O (marriage visa) Visa in Thailand, having spoken to immigration they informed me that I can’t get an O Visa unless I have a bank account. So I went to the bank and the bank said. I can’t get a bank account as I don’t have a long-term Visa. What is this all about? is there a way of sorting this out in Thailand or do I need to go back to the UK and sort it?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on obtaining a non-O marriage visa in Thailand after being informed by immigration that they require a bank account to apply, which in turn requires a long-term visa they do not have. Several comments suggest options such as applying for the visa from a nearby country like Laos or Vietnam, using an agent to open a bank account while on a tourist visa, or seeking assistance from a visa center in Thailand. It's recommended to ensure proper documentation is prepared for applications and to inquire further with immigration for potential solutions.
