Have you tried going to a bank with your Thai baht and ask them to transfer the money over?

Is your daughter getting an ED visa or are you getting an ED visa? You can’t convert from ED to DTV within Thailand. If she’s getting an ED visa, you can just get a guardian visa. However, the guardian visa requires the same level of savings as the DTV visa (500,000 THB).

i foudn this on DLT website and then looked up the 5 diseases form they mention in Section 3...for that it looked like to me a blood draw as needed

i saw this on DLT website and then looked up 5 diseases form per Section 3, and that's where I found a blood test was needed. It seems from everyone commenting that the blood test isn't necessary thankfully

Anonymous participant yeah I’m not really sure which method would be easier, medical or dependent DTV. I would reach out to the embassy or consulate you’re applying to and ask them directly what your best option is with them.

Why not get yourself DTV alone. And then get a separate DTV for your son, not as a dependent visa, but instead under the “medical treatment” scheme of the DTV?
