I noticed a few cases of Malaysian or Singaporean successfully applied for DTV beyond Singapore.

Even when I contacted the Thai immigration office, to date their messenger agents had no idea regarding the policy of Singapore passport holders CANNOT apply for DTV yet.

When I inquired the Royal Thai Embassy in Cambodia, they advised me to apply online with them but I have to enter their boundary before doing so.

I'm a Singapore passport holder and is currently living in Singapore. Thus I've applied online with both Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and Consular in Penang, both are now pending for document check.

Refer to the email replied from the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore as shown in the picture, they mentioned that all Singaporeans, Malaysians and Tunisians are not entitled to receive any DTV in Singapore at the moment.

I would like to double confirm are there any Singaporean who have already successfully achieved the DTV in Malaysia or Cambodia? Waived visa fee?

This is a question for anyone who has applied through Taipei.

When filling out the application form for visa, I am unsure on what to write in certain boxes so would love some help from someone who has been successful in the process.

I.D No: (I thought this might be passport number but they ask for that too, so unsure what this is)

Purpose of visit to Thailand: (I was thinking about ticking “other” and writing DTV?)

Proposed duration of stay in Thailand: (6 months? 5 years? Again, unsure what is best to say)

And finally: Place of stay in Thailand: (do I just write the address of a random hotel? Because it certainly won’t be the place I’ll be staying for long, but maybe for the first week)

Vientiane is still walk in to apply right? Any idea if they are going to change to online and when?

Tricky question:

I work my main job onsite at the moment.

I have a remote side hustle business that does not (yet) generate income.

I am well of so I can survive in Thailand for years.

The question is, when I apply for remote work DTV, can I show my main onsite jobs payslips instead of my remote business as it does not generate income?

Or do I actually have to make some money from my remote sidehustle job to get the visa? Meaning can I show payslips from another job than the one I will use to apply for the visa with

(I will quit the main job when I leave for Thailand)

thanks everyone spoke to builder and is doing stage payments on the build starting november, putting fence around raised land first then compacting soil ,hopefully i will be there feb so oversee build ,will keep you posted with pictures and progress.i only have one chance to get this right (financially)

Can I apply online at an embassy even if I’m not in that country and if I can where?

Does embassy ask for stamp in the documents? How do you do it? Is it digital stamp or physical stamp? How to get physical stamp if company does not exist in my countey?
