This is a question for anyone who has applied through Taipei.
When filling out the application form for visa, I am unsure on what to write in certain boxes so would love some help from someone who has been successful in the process.
I.D No: (I thought this might be passport number but they ask for that too, so unsure what this is)
Purpose of visit to Thailand: (I was thinking about ticking “other” and writing DTV?)
Proposed duration of stay in Thailand: (6 months? 5 years? Again, unsure what is best to say)
And finally: Place of stay in Thailand: (do I just write the address of a random hotel? Because it certainly won’t be the place I’ll be staying for long, but maybe for the first week)
TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses the uncertainties faced when filling out a visa application for Thailand from Taipei, specifically regarding the ID number, purpose of visit, duration of stay, and place of stay. Responses from the community clarify that the ID number is not mandatory, suggest listing the purpose as 'DTV', recommend specifying a duration of around 180 days, and advise that it's acceptable to provide a hotel address as a temporary accommodation. Users also mention using hotel bookings with flexible cancellation policies as proof of stay.
