Bit confused. Effective15 July 2024

[members only]

If there is a possibility of 30 days extension, are the passport holders of the listed 94 countries allowed to enter with a return airline ticket of over 60 days but under 90 days?

Anyone had any experience with this? I rang the consulate and they said, “ it should be ok” but would rather be sure. I also went out the the airport last month to check with Thai Airways check in desk and was told no problems, but that was with one person at the desk who I forgot to write down his name.

I have been unable to find anything regarding this from official sites.

I am moving to Thailand early next year from Australia. With the current exchange rate I am a little hesitant to put 800,000 Baht in the bank to cover my retirement visa. If I was to do the 65k Baht income a month till the exchange rate improves can I then swap to the 800k option? Thank you

I'm arriving in BKK on a 90 day multiple entry tourist e-visa in order to obtain a non-O retirement visa.

My question is, if asked for the purpose of my visit, do I admit this, or do I say I'm here on a holiday. Also, I'm bringing over 2 suitcases full of personal effects.

Thanks

Does anyone have any advice on teaching English as a second language in Thailand?

I've been told that Thailand has local programs for TEFL certification, which also offer cultural orientation. Any recommendations of those?

I want to share my experience applying DTV online at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a Malaysian working remotely as a freelance social media manager for a Malaysia company.

It took a few days for them to request additional documents from me which includes proof of 6 months stay in Thailand , pay slips for the last 6 months, certified employment agreement and copy of all pages in the passport.

They did mention that for Malaysia employment contract certification , it should also be done at Wisma Putra. I got the employment agreement first stamped at LHDN , then authorised at Wisma Putra. It was a one day errand and the application was reviewed after the submission of the requested documentation and was approved the next day.

Hope that helps ! Good luck for Malaysians applicants.

I am applying for a non-immigrant visa so I can work in Thailand. The last requirement is asking for a WP32. How do I go about obtaining this?

5 . WP32 (An approval letter from the Ministry of Labour) or work permit in case of Non-Immigrant B renewal (Japanese is waived from the requirement to submit WP32)

I spoke to an immigration officer and asked him what he thinks are the chances of getting a new DTV when the first one expires after 5 years. His answer: "This is Thailand, no one knows yet, but what I know for sure, the DTV will not be the same in 5 years".

Should be a warning for the ones who already have an O-Non Immigrant retirement visa and plan to switch to a DTV.
