I’m applying for a DTV visa and need to submit my financial statement. I need to convert my amount into THB for the application.

1. Which exchange rate should I use (e.g., Central Bank, embassy rate, etc.)?

2. How did you calculate or present your financial balance when applying?

I am moving to Thailand early next year from Australia. With the current exchange rate I am a little hesitant to put 800,000 Baht in the bank to cover my retirement visa. If I was to do the 65k Baht income a month till the exchange rate improves can I then swap to the 800k option? Thank you

Condo purchase - exchange rate for fund transfer

For condo purchase it is required to transfer foreign currency from overseas inoa Thai bank and for conversion to be done by the bank and issue a FET certificate.

Question - do all the banks offer pretty much same exchange rate for $? or does it vary significantly?

On a largish amount could make a fair bit of differene.

Grateful for any experiences/wisdom.

PS: Before saying WISE - I dont think they qaulify. Exchange has to be done in Thailand by the receiving bank!

Does anyone know the what the exchange rate immigration is using for euro to baht?

With reference to the retirement visa based on annual income + savings in Thai bank to total 800,000baht.....who decides the exchange rate? At the moment the GB£ is fluctuating around £1=43THB. Where do immigration get the rate from on the application day? Thanks!
