I am applying for a non-immigrant visa so I can work in Thailand. The last requirement is asking for a WP32. How do I go about obtaining this?

5 . WP32 (An approval letter from the Ministry of Labour) or work permit in case of Non-Immigrant B renewal (Japanese is waived from the requirement to submit WP32)

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain the WP32 approval letter, you need to have your employer apply for your work permit. This letter is specifically required when applying for a Non-Immigrant B visa, as part of the documentation needed for your visa application.

Your employer provides this after they apply for your work permit.

I don't have an employer. I just want to go and apply for jobs when I get there.

Then you can't have a non-B visa. A non-B visa is for someone who already has a job in Thailand. You need paperwork from your employer to be able to get a non-B visa.

Ok, then can I apply for jobs on a DTV?

No, DTV is employment prohibited

Applying for jobs is not working. You cannot work in Thailand on a DTV but since applying for jobs is not working it's allowed. I'm not sure why you would pay for a 5 year DTV if you plan on getting a job though as you will lose your DTV if you get a job in Thailand and get a work visa.

I straight up want to go, stay as long as I like, and work for cash. That is literally all I want. I have my ticket there, accommodations, the financials. I just want to make sure I am not doing anything illegal.

you don't want to do anything illegal but say you want to work for cash. Working is illegal without a work permit. You could enter, search for a job then follow correct process.

You won't get a job "working for cash."

To work as a foreigner in Thailand you have to get a job, and a visa that allows work. Foreigners also have a minimum salary they must receive to qualify for a work permit, and that is about 6x more than what a Thai employee would receive, so you have to have some type of special skills that would make you more desirable than a Thai employee because they could hire 6 of them for the same thing they pay you.

Your best option is to find remote work from your home country while living in Thailand with a DTV.
