Anyone else receive an entry stamp with added random writing?

And if so, do you know what it means? I can’t even make out what it is… thought it might be a weird signature, but unlikely.

I don’t think I’ve seen many stamps with additional writing posted here and the immigration officer who stamped me in was in NO mood to talk or explain.

Want to prepare my bank statements to be accepted with a broad range of Thai embassies/consulates (Argentina, Singapure, and whatever you recommend!) and not lose a bunch of interest. Having 15K sit for 6 months could earn me almost 240 USD.

What do you recommend?

I heard Wise is not accepted by some consulates because they are not a bank and Trade Republic statements are in German.

I just heard something about border run via Malaysia, that it has become very difficult.

We have the 60 day exemption which ends on the 25th this month. My kids and I were planning on doing the border run via Malaysia, because we are down south and stay there for a couple of days and then go back.

So maybe we should do it via Vietnam unless there would be the same issue 🤔

Has anyone heard anything about this?

Reaching out to freelancers who managed to get their DTV visa, and would like to ask about the portfolio they've presented. In the requirements it says "professional portfolio needed". Did you make a special portfolio page for the application? I'm not sure what kind of page would suffice. Or maybe a PDF will references would be enough? I own 3 websites for 3 digital services I'm providing, and no sure how to incorporate those in the application. If somebody could show me their portfolio that got accepted, I would be grateful - in PM it's OK if it's confidential. Thanks!

I am a DTV visa holder. I have applied for a DTV visa for my son online at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Qingdao, and the current status is "pending approval." I would like to ask if I can take my son to enter Thailand with a visa exemption while the application is still pending. Will this affect the current visa process?

Hello, is it true that you can't apply for DTV when you're currently in Thailand?

Also DTV is valid for 5 years, is it valid 5 years from now on or 5 calendar years? So if I would get it today is it valid to 08.11.2029 or 1.1.2029?

Any experience on which embassies require notarized bank statements to show proof of 500.000 baht for DTV? Or are most ok with a print out (or electronic pdf) thanks!
