Hi all! Sorry if this has been answered repeatedly but couldn't find an answer.

I'm currently on my 2nd year of ED visa and was planning on getting the DTV next year after the current ED runs out. However I might not have enough saved up to qualify for the DTV (because it needs to be in my account 3 months prior).

At this moment the plan is to go for a 3rd year ED visa, but I have read that it might reflect negatively and result in a DTV visa rejection.

We love Thailand, really feel at home and would love to stay longer. However I'm unsure about what's the best course of action at this moment.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you kindly!

I have account in K Bank. I tried to increase the transfer limit from 50k TB on the bank app.But would not let me. I called to KBank today to ask them to increase it. Was told 50,000tb is maximum transfer for all foreigners. Anyone else have this problem. I don't have same issue with Bangkok bank.

Further to my post a few days ago relating to my Wise/Bangkok Bank experience, I now report on my experience at Chaengwatthana applying for extension of stay based on non-O (retirement) yesterday.

My appointment was for 10.00. I arrived at CW at 9:20 headed straight to the Bangkok Bank Passbook Update machine to get an entry for the day, then to the copy shop to copy the same page in the passbook.

Went into section L, to the "document check" booth, where the immigration officer went through all my submitted documents:-

- Completed TM7 form

- Bangkok Bank 12-month statement (obtained from the Bangkok Bank App)

- Photocopies of all Bank passbook pages

- Copy of my 12-month condo lease

- List of the 12 monthly 65,000 baht international transfers

Once these were checked, the immigration officer asked me to sign the standard forms relating to overstay and access to information, and told me to wait outside the booked appointments booth. Time was then 9:40

At 9:45 called into the booth (ahead of time), sat in front of immigration officer who thumbed through the documents, requested me to sign again the TM7 (probably wanted to make sure it was my signature), and asked me to wait outside again.

At 9:55 called over to the booth where I was given my passport back with a brand new 12-month extension of stay! Walked out of CW at 10:00. A total time of 40 minutes. Which goes to show if you've got everything in order there's no need for delays!

I also had with me (just in case) the 12 FETs for bank transfers, statement of my pension fund in Australia and the standard certification letter from Bangkok Bank (which it seems they seldom ask for with 65k per month process, but I always get just in case). None of these were requested.

Most importantly, I was not asked for any proof or documents relating to taxation!

Hi. And apologies for this. But I am getting conflicting info on line.

A question on the TDAC form please. I board my flight in Dublin Ireland. I transfer to a new flight in Abu Dhabi ( connecting flight) and arrive in Bangkok

Form needs country from which I boarded ? Is this Dublin Ireland or is it UAE?

Also wants flight number. Is the Dublin to Abu Dhabi or Abu Dhabi to bkk ?

Many thanks for the help

Hello : )

Have 2 questions needing clarification:

(1) Is it possible to apply for a Tourist Visa whilst in Thailand?

Reason is the 2nd 60-day exemption+30 extension is about to expire.

(2) Any instructions/info on how to catch train/bus from Bangkok to Chong Mek/Vang Tao (Laos Border).

(a) can buy/pay at the ticket office or require advance reservation?

Thank you.

I just got approved for the DTV (Workcation (Digital nomad) from the London Embassy.

Friday 01st August: Applied

Friday 01st August: Requested additional documents

Tuesday 05th August: Approved

Really impressed with the service and speed of processing (3 working days). This group was a big help to me in my research phase, so thanks to all members who contribute.

Chok dee to those who are still waiting for their DTV to be approved.

My wife was just approved in Hanoi as a dependant.

26th July: Applied

31st July: Pending Approval

5th August: Approved

Five and a half working days total as I believe the 28th was a holiday. No additional doc requests.

Docs provided:

6-month statements for her UK Revolut account. £12k in there for 3 months. Revolut doesn't seem to provide a proper monthly statement if there are no transactions in a month, so it was just a one-page document covering the whole period. Also a screenshot of the currency conversion to baht on the day.

Thai marriage certificate

Location proof: hotel info page, map, room key. Vietnam entry stamp in passport. Selfies in the hotel lobby with the sign.

Passport photo

My DTV

I had an issue after first submitting where the application was stuck in payment pending, but I hadn't been given a chance to actually make the payment. I think I might have clicked off and back, so I had to resubmit the whole thing. Other than that, a very smooth process comparable to my experience with the Jakarta embassy.

DTV visa application - Embassy of Paris

Hello everyone, I applied for my visa on July 17th and I haven't heard back yet. My boyfriend got his visa in about 5 days.

So, has anyone applied for a DTV visa through the Paris embassy recently? Do you know how long it might take at the moment?

Thanks ☺️

Hi all, Has anyone got experience with ILS Language school in Chiang Mai ? I have been moving between Thailand and Vietnam for the last two years but was toying with the idea of applying for a DVT and taking part in an online language course with ILS. Iv been told, and read online, that Thai language courses are not acceptable when applying for the DTV, is this true ? TIA

Hello! My DTV visa for Thailand was just approved! I applied for Soft Power from Hanoi! Although many told me it wouldn't be worth the investment, I submitted my pay stubs to Revolut and already had a checking and investment account. To enter Thailand, would I just need to present the visa? Thank you so much for your help.
