Is there an “entry validity date”?

If granted the visa, do i have to enter by a certain date, does it expire? I dont mean the 5 years.

I had tourist visas years ago that gave you 90 days TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. If you did not enter within 90 days of the issue date, it expired.

How does the dtv visa work? Thanks

Hi DVT Group, a few questions i need help with. When applying for the DTV via the Thai Embassy website in Aust, it requests flight dates including a return date. If buying a one way ticket what should this date be? Also, can you provide a flight number that has not yet been booked or do you recommend paying for flights before the DTV has been approved? Finally, is it a requirement to a minimum balance of 500,000 THB (approximately 22,985 AUD) in your bank account for at least three months prior to application?

Hi,

I’m on a DTV and will need to do my first 90 days report. I know I need to attend in person and will go to koh samui immigration.

I understand now that I need a TM.6 arrival/departure card. I didn’t pick one up on arrival and wasn’t asked for one at customs.

I believe I may be able to ask for one at immigration.

Can anyone offer advice please, I want to avoid issues at immigration.

Thank you

Edit: I can now see on the internet and answers that a TM6 no longer a requirement. Thank you

DTV Visa Approved

London embassy. Workcation. Rental Income.

Sharing in the hope that it might help others.

My situation:

Been living in Thailand just over 2 years, on Tourist visa(s) then Education visa.

Arrived back to UK on 2nd December and submitted visa application that night. Approved Sunday night, 8th December.

I have 2 rental properties in Scotland and I do a mix of renting long term and short term through Airbnb etc. I am living off my rental income and some savings.

Documents submitted:

Usual required docs, passport etc

4 months bank statements

3 months of Earnings reports from Airbnb

3 booking confirmations from another agency

Landlord registration

4 years of tax accounts

Cover letter stating my situation

Cover letter from my Thai girlfriend confirming I will be living with her, and included her rental agreement

Initially I submitted all the above combined into one pdf, in a good order, with my Cover letter first. A few days later, I had a request for further documentation which I found bizarre as it was requesting docs I had already submitted. So I just broke up the pdfs and submitted them again separately as requested, my tax accounts, my Cover letter, my "professional portfolio" being Earnings reports and booking confirmations.

In my Cover letter I stated my duties, which are communicating with guests / tenants, updating my calendars and prices, taking and lodging deposits when required, Liaising with cleaners for changeovers, Liaising with maintenance people when required. Etc.

I included the Flight number of my desired flight, not booked yet.

Hope this helps.

Good luck to all those applying

When providing bank statement for soft power visa can I cross out account # so as to minimize opportunity for that information to get into the wrong hands?

I completed my application for DTV - nomad type online from the Royal Thai embassy London. There was no mention prior to my application regarding a couple of very important points : 1) can only apply if you are a permanent resident in Uk. ( I’m a nomad- what’s the point??). 2) Have to provide an e-ticket proof of flights from UK to Thailand. I’m already in Asia. Bloody stupid. Would never have applied from that embassy, pay the fee, if I had proper facts prior.

Anyway, hope this useful knowledge will help others to have an informed application process.
