Hello,

My friend travelled here from Canada on a 30 day visa exempt stamp and we just realized he's overstayed his visa. The last day of his stamp was April 4, but his flight home is on the 11th. Should we go to immigration and try to get an extension, or just wait as there's only 3 days until he flies home?

Thanks in advance

Looking for the best way to stay in Thailand for 5-6 months, we are both Canadian over 60. For the last 2 years we have been coming in on exemption and extending, then border bounce and extending again. When we extended our first exemption the Phuket immigration was very suspicious and phoned my brother inlaw(Thai) asking about where we were staying. When we came back from border bounce the immigration at Phuket airport was asking for return ticket and was questioning us. This is the 1st of ten years coming here that this has happened! Thanks in advance

Hi, I really enjoy this group very informative. I am having a problem trying to find information about martial arts weapons, what is legal and what is illegal have been reading through the Thai government laws and they mostly talk about gun laws.

I have tried now for a week and still little info, if someone can help point me in the right direction much appreciated.

I have been practicing for over 40 years and have a vast collection and would like to bring them with me when I make the move, some I have had since I was 12 years old, again thanks for any and all help.

I want to start this question with a statement. I have experienced this group as one tha truly and consistently makes efforts to be helpful with clear responses.

This is an everything else question. I have a friend in Thailand who has a 16 year old son starting a tech program to become a fire fighter. He would greatly benefit from having a lap to and the family cannot afford one. I am in the US and just happen to have a very serviceable spare lap top that would do all he needs. It is even set up with a Thai keyboard. School starts for this young man in May.

Can someone give me counsel about how to best get it from here to there. I have read things about VAT, customs and shipping things with a battery that have me confused and a bit gun shy. I have checked with my Thai friends here and no one is going to Thailand for a while. Otherwise, I would just send it with them and have them mail it to mt friend's son once they arrived.

Any responses will be gratefully received. You could respond here, or even better, you could message me on Facebook. My name is Steven Mussack

This may vary on which immigration office you go to, but what are the needed documents to apply for a 60 day extension based on visiting family. I am currently on a 90 day Non O visa due to my kid but not sure how long the process will take to get a Kor Ror 11. The 60 day extension would really help matters.

Hello. I am currently in Thailand on Non Immigrant O multi entry obtained from Savannakhet. Is it possible to obtain 1 year extension of stay based on married to a Thai national when my visa expires? Or, do I have to be in Thailand on some other type of visa in order to apply for this extension?

Hi, when applying for an Non Inmigrant O visa based on Thai wife (90 days) and the subsequent extension of stay (12 months), in which of the 2 processes one must show prove of deposit of 400K thb for at least 2 months?

In some places I read that you need the money deposited 2 months before applying for the visa and in others that you need it 2 months before applying for the extension of stay.
