choose the date for the statement so there is no other transaction. by this it only shows the balance, nothing else. worked fine with me.

Anonymer Teilnehmer nope, why should i… my full statement… my bank doesn't show the full account number, only first and last couple of digits… i guess blacking out anything sends the wrong signal at all. send in all the stuff and by this tell them: i want this and i can afford this. if your message is: i don't trust you, than they won't trust you either… i mean you pay times more for a car, and you undisclose much more to your car dealer. if the "price" of secret infos is too high for you, don't apply. you can't be a bit pregnant… either you want it or not. no perhaps, let's see, but idk…

What do you think someone can do with a bank account number except sending you money?

When you ask someone to transfer you money

You are giving him or her your bank account number

Your bank name

And the name show in the account for clarifying this is the correct account to the right person.

So how you guys getting paid to your account if you are thinking like this !

Remember you are applying at a governmental institution, not a dodgy agent.

You can’t. How should they then check your document are real.

But if you want to loose 10.000 baht, go ahead.

you definitely can, of course it depends on which embassy you're applying at. I crossed out account numbers. They don't need it they just need the first page of the bank statement showing your name and the amount. But again every place is different.

Do you know what the case is for applying digitally in the US?

Look at the Embassy website, or search the group.

I've received people's private info, passport copies and bank statements, from immigration in Thailand. They reused old papers. When I mentioned it they proudly replied "yes, we recycle!"

You usually need a few months of the minimum 500k

i thought about this too. i guess you probably can cover a few numbers. i just left it because im lazy and when i really think about it there is a lot of other security they would have to pass. The number doesn't really allow them to do anything. I think do it though

Why? What is so secret about an account number that you are afraid somebody might know?

The only thing somebody else can do it is sent money to it, but I guess that is nothing to be afraid of?
