hi all. I am horrified to discover that the Cambodia visa I received will only be valid if I exceed my 30-day visa-free stay in Thailand by 2 days. (Visa department error) question: what are the options for extending my stay in Thailand? many thanks jack

Does the Thai consulate in Savannakhet still offer 1 year multiple entry visa based on being married to a Thai national and are the requirements still the same like last year? I couldn't find the 1year visa on their website anymore.

Hi all. Looking for some updated advice as it seems things have changed a bit from what I have read online.

I am currently 5 days into my 60 day Tourist Visa and I would like to open a Thai Baht Savings Account as a Foreigner.

Yesterday in Pattaya Central I tried Krungsri and Kasikorn and received a hard no. Bangkok bank however will open an account for me if I provide the info in the attached image.

I intend to live in Thailand legitimately so I will be able to meet all these requirements, however I have some questions:

'Citizen ID Card' what exactly do they mean by this?

'Residential Rental Contract for 1 Year'

Can anyone on here provide some information regarding a potential branch and/or manager of any main Bank in either the Pattaya or Buri Ram surrounding regions?

That is a little relaxed on this or these requirements?

OR

I have seen online you can pay an agent to assist in the opening of a bank account. Can anyone on here comment / recommend any particular agent / services that can assist in either completely bypassing these requirements or at least 'skip' the proof of residency requirements?

(I intend to get a condo but would like to take my time in doing so and was considering a shorter commitment than 12 months)

Any and all accurate advice / information is appreciated 🙏

Hello, I am currently in Thailand from the UK and arrived on the 15th of March, I was given a 30 day tourist visa on arrival and I was planning on extending my visa here, I plan to fly home on 23rd April. I have made a big mistake and left it last minute and realised because of the holidays most immigration offices will be shut. My visa will end on the 13th of April. I have looked at flights out of the country but they are all quite expensive so I’m wondering would I be able to go to the immigration office as soon as it opens up again and apply for an extension and pay the fine for the amount of days I have overstayed? And will it cause me problems in the future when visiting other countries? Any advice will be appreciated, thank you.

Date of application - 19 Mar 2024

Date of 2nd stamp (after consideration) - 10 Apr 2024

Extension method - 400k lump sum in bank 2 month prior to application

On 10 Apr, no 90 days or bank book was checked or updated. Just get the final stamp, take only 30 min.

There was enormous queue to 90 days report counters, got queue ticket 10 AM, done with report 4 PM, more than 300 people in queue

Hi, my parents are ready to apply for a visa. They are 65 and have the required monthly income each of 65000 baht but not the lump sum of 800,000. They would like to spend most of the year in Thailand but return to NZ every year to visit family. They hope to do this for a few years. Some advice please on the best visa to apply for? The visa fees just went up a lot here in NZ which we didn’t expect but we have left it late so want to know the best visa to go for as the price is now $$$$! Thank you 🙏🏽
