QUESTIONS RE AUSTRALIA & AGENT

πŸ™

Hello! I’ve searched the group which is very helpful but I haven’t found an answer to these specifically.

I am wanting to apply at the Thai Embassy in Australia for a soft power DTV (currently in Thailand on Ed visa) so will go home to Australia when my Ed visa expires and apply so I can continue my Muay Thai training (DTV wasn’t a thing when I applied for my Ed)

1. Does anyone have any recommendations for an agent they used and were successful using for Australia specifically???

2. My partner is working here on a work visa and supporting me and our baby so I don’t have an income currently as I’m a stay at home mum. But I have the required $$$ in my bank. I am hoping an agent can assist with my documents to best explain this situation ect because I understand even with soft power they are now asking how you intend to support yourself. We are not married by paper but considered defacto under Australian law which the Thai embassy have already told me is not a problem when I emailed them as we share a bank account. Has anyone had any success in a similar situation in Australia?

3. Any other infomation those who were successful in Australia would like to share that I haven’t seen already in search function πŸ™‚

Question about document translations for the DTV Visa

Hi everyone,

For those of you who have already submitted your DTV Visa application:

Did you upload any documents that were not in English (for example, in French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, etc.) and still got approved?

If yes, could you please share:

What language were your documents in?

What kind of documents were they (bank statements, proof of income, etc.)?

And most importantly, were they accepted without certified translation?

I’m a French Canadian, and when I look at the cost of getting all my documents certified translated, it ends up costing more than a SoftPower Muay Thai training package πŸ˜…

In my case, my professional portfolio consists of notarized contracts proving my private lending activity. Since each contract includes multiple clauses and conditions, each document is around 12 pages long, which makes translation very expensive.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience! πŸ™

[HANOI - SOFT POWER COOKING]

Hi everyone. I plan to apply for the DTV visa at the end of July/ start of August. However, I'm a bit worried about the 500k baht.

Right now I've got 350k in my bank account, but won't receive the rest until July 20th ish. Will it still be ok if I technically just have the 500k 1.5 weeks before applying? Or you would advise that I gather the funds a bit quicker / delay my application date a bit?

I have used the search function of course but just want more definite confirmation. Thanks for all your help and support on this group!

I have not approved for the dtv visa yet because I was wondering if I have to always keep 15000 in my bank account in order to renew my visa or is it just the first time applying

My wife and I would like to move to Thailand next year with non-O retirement visa. My understanding for lump sum money that we need to deposit in Thai Bank is 800k + 400k = 1.2 Mil tbh. Is this the same if my wife comes to Thailand a little later than me, say 3 or 4 months later? Or does she have to apply for her visa on her own and we need total of 1.6 million tbh? Another possibility is for her to follow me like 6 months later. If she does that, can we re-use the 800k that I used to get my extension by depositing into a bank account under her name? TIA

I will be applying soon in Warsaw, Poland. I’m polish citizen. My plan:

-biodata of passport ( should I add photo of page showing that I left Thailand??)

- photo taken one day before applications

- copy of polish id and sworn translation of my residency in Poland

- sworn translation bank statement indicating amount of 530 000 bht

-employment certificate ( not work agreement because I have low salary) written in English with information from my employer that I can work remotely in Thailand-should this be sworn translation also?

- documents indicating that my company has active status from tax office (should this be also sworn translation to English?

I will appreciate Any feedback .

Edit-all documents should be merged into one pdf file?

DTV extension. Some say we have to resubmit all docs again for the extension after the initial 180 days of DTV visa. (hope this is a joke)

OR, we can do border run to extend it without going through the docs check.

Cause my concern is, what if one does not have the employment anymore after the initial approval of the DTV visa. I think they can still keep the visa status somehow, I heard.

thanks for you help!!

When you are submitting bank statements for the DTV, would it be better to submit every page of the statement or the overview page which shows the relevant information (i.e. our names, address, beginning balance, deposits, deductions and ending balance)?

Hi everyone! I’d love to get your thoughts on something. I’m based in Germany and work for a company that allows me to work remotely from many countries for up to 30 days (around 6 weeks) per year. Unfortunately, Thailand is currently on their list of restricted countries for remote work.

I checked with HR and they said that if I were to get the DTV visa, I *would* be allowed to work from Thailand. My contract states that my official place of work is Berlin, and the 30-day remote work allowance isn’t mentioned in the contract itself.

Given all this, do you think I stand a good chance of being approved for the DTV visa?

Thanks in advance for your input!

𝔻𝕋𝕍 π•Šπ•†π”½π•‹ β„™π•†π•Žπ”Όβ„ 𝔸ℙℙℝ𝕆𝕍𝔼𝔻!

Took only 4 BUSINESS DAYS, from Thai Embassy in HANOI. Amazingly short time, I couldn't be happier!

Went for the 6-month cooking class from "House of Taste Thai Cooking" (Bangkok) and I decided to go for a visa agent, as I have a long history of different visas in Thailand and was afraid not to be granted the DTV for this reason.

French passport here, started with border runs, then an ED visa, then some Tourist visas, and even despite owning a TV, I was stopped at Suvarnabhumi airport by the immigration agent for coming in & out too often, so I then decided to go for an expensive Elite / Privilege visa. That was 6 years ago, just before the Covid era.

Last week, instead of renewing my Elite visa (as I didn't see any rational reason for paying that much - 50x more, at least - for it, except maybe for being able to open some bank accounts), I simply went for the 'new' DTV and I have absolutely no regret! Applied on a Wednesday, approved on a Monday.

Good Luck to EVERYONE, Peace! :)
