The Royal Thai Embassy in London only states that you must show financial evidence of at least £11,000 (≈ 500,000 THB), for example via bank statements or a sponsorship letter. It does not specify how long that money must have been in your account. Anyone from the Uk been turned down for not having it in there for less than 3 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Royal Thai Embassy in London requires financial evidence of at least £11,000 but does not specify a minimum duration for holding that amount before applying. Experiences shared by users indicate that while some embassies may have a three-month requirement for the funds, applicants from the UK report varied outcomes with funds held for less than three months, with many getting approved regardless of how long the money has been in their accounts.

Depends on the embassy I think. I got my DTV from the Thai embassy in Tokyo. Because my bank statement was all in Japanese, I had to get my Japanese bank to make me a bank balance document in English. The bank made me a document that stated my current balance, but it didn't state how long the money had been in the account, it just showed the current balance on that day. Though I'd had the money in the account for well over 3 months, in theory, I could have deposited the money on that day. But that could just be the case for people applying from Japan. From reading many posts from other people in this group, it seems that some country's embassies want you to prove that the money has been in your account for 3 months

The entire application process is now online using the Evisa online application system for Thai Visas. No more Embassy or Consulate visits UNLESS THEY REQUEST A PERSONAL INTERVIEW.
