No, because you are not Thai. You are either Thai or not Thai. The end.

Thais don't need health insurance. They also get fast-tracked on their Thai Pass.

None of this is true for spouses of Thai citizens. I know this from firsthand experience.

Edit: Just to be crystal clear, you will always be one of two things: 1) a Thai or 2) a non-Thai. To the Thai government, you will always be #2 in all things.

I had Thai Smile cancel my flight and so I had to rebook with another airline, get a new hotel confirmation, and get a new Thai Pass. What a huge pain in the ass. Still waiting on a refund from Thai Smile. I hope it doesn't happen again!

Don't chance it. Never chance anything when dealing with immigration officials and traveling internationally.

Go to AQ.in.th and just pay them $90 to do it. You'll almost certainly have your Thailand Pass the same day.
