TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a PCR test for domestic flights in Thailand depends on the destination province and the traveler's vaccination status. Generally, vaccinated travelers do not need to present a PCR test, but some provinces and airlines may have specific rules. Additionally, an ATK test with a lab certificate may be accepted in lieu of a PCR test for vaccinated individuals.

The chart posted on this thread by Bobby Howard is your best source. When I flew to Chiang Mai a few weeks ago it was also difficult to find firm info on this. For the most part, if your vaxxed, your OK, I've taken 4 domestic flights since Sept and no test required. Some of the Airlines have charts like the one posted here- your best source.

I tried to find this on the TATs website but it's impossible. You'd think they would be able to gather the information updated in one place instead of people reposting infographics which may be months old...

But nobody cares about making things easier right?

No, if vaccinated, or ATK test with lab certificate is fine. No self or home tests.

I'm going to fly to Phuket on Wednesday. Basically this document says I only need 1 thing: vaccination cert will do? I thought vac. cert. plus antigen test. Maybe I should save my money and time on getting the test?

Skip the test as long as you have your vaxx cert.

Depends where you're traveling too, each province has different entry requirements, and what your vaccination statues is.

Airlines themselves don't require a PCR test if you're vaccinated. Some of the islands require one to enter, Ubon Ratchatani requires one, not sure where else.

are you sure about Ubon requiring a test? The table above implies either a test or be vaccinated.

I've never seen a PCR test required for domestic. Usually ATK (with certificate) is sufficient if a test is required

I've lived here through all of COVID (and recently traveled back in internationally and domestically). Please show me where you've seen PCR required for domestic air travel?

You said "I've never seen a PCR test required for domestic travel." I'm not trying to be a jerk (though I know I'm probably coming off like one) just that the PCR test was a big deal for people trying to get into Phuket, since it cost more than the flight into Phuket.

As of now, I don't know. I think most places accept AKG tests. My buddy flys back and fourth between bkk and kk, no tests required for him, but he's vaccinated.

Perhaps I should've chosen my words more wisely. As I was doing all the recent research for domestic travel, I did not come across PCR required (though now I've discovered there is at least 1).

Maybe "I haven't seen" is more senantically correct than "I've never seen" but yes, your snide reply definitely came across jerkish.

Especially for the guy who only recently learned the word เนเธเนˆ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰
