I've been living on rental properties for over 10 years in TH.
"The landlord's responsibility" is a very relative term.
The landlord might say "what's the big deal... Not having water at times... Just wait"
What would u say to that.
It certainly isn't the roof coming down. So it is true that for SOME people it might not be a huge inconvenience.
Yet; for me; it would be incredibly annoying.
In the end u can't burden others with your own expectations or comfort standards.
So i decided that a 1k tank was worth me having water all the time. If i stay for 2 years, that's 40 baht a month. And that's assuming i will just leave the tank and forget about it. If u take it with u or resell it at that point at 50% its only cost u 20 baht a month to solve the problem.
Option B would've been to move out. Which requires weeks of packing; hiring a truck for the day; endless family fights out of being exhausted and stressed; etc etc.
The 1k solution was a no brainer honestly in my case.
If i understand correctly these options are not related to your current stamp... Rather to the category of visa u used to enter the country in the first place (whenever that might've been).
So if u entered on a NON-O 90 days... (Which u then extended bla bla) ...
If I understand correctly the mother was born in Myanmar territory but doesn't hold citizenship of that country. Came to TH, and doesn't hold TH citizenship either, rather a pink card.
The daughter even tho born in TH, gets no citizenship since the mother aint Thai. She could eventually apply to the father's country of origin citizenship.
If that's the case it looks as tho neither girlfriend nor daughter would be of help to sort your immigration status. She isn't old enough to go to school either (not sure preschool age) to talk about a guardian visa etc.
Short term: extend 30 days, then (if "then" means before the end of May) apply for the 60-day Covid extension. And pray that they keep extending those as they have been.
Other than that the same options than any other tourist (study/find a job/agent/etc), meaning i cant see how your gf or daughter can help you unfortunately. Hopefully im wrong and someone has a better alternative :)
i can tell u from multiple friends that isn't the case.
Of course it always comes down to "we were told" (not ur fault of course).
Different people, facebook members, Immigration officers, agents.... will all have a different answer.
The embassy letter is an extension of stay.
For what reason... doesnt matter.
Its a hard stamp that gives u evidence and proof of legal status.
I have many friends who used it cuz they needed an extra week or few weeks for their NON-ED or NON-O visas to come through.
The change of visa status goes under consideration for 2-3 weeks... so they applied to the 30 day extension w consulate letter... to buy themselves a month so they can sort the other visa out.
Anyway... just some ideas and info of people who did it.
If someone says they cant... for sure they won't. That doesnt mean someone else might or might not be able to do it.
