true, I know some people who rent for 12 months but stay for 5 or 6 continuous months- cheaper, and they have the option to return at anytime in the year or simply walk away and continue to pay.
just a comment about a cooking course. A friend of mine inquired about such at the Thai Embassy in Ottawa. They told her the course had to be a minimum 4 to 6 months long. Take that with a grain of salt, though. Ask again and the answer may change.
It is true, and it is a bank policy, not immigration. I mentioned this with a photo of the notice from the bank and someone accused me of fabricating it 555.
you’d have to send the Foreign Insurance Certificate to the Canadian insurance company. Not sure if this line in the certificate would be a problem for insurance companies: “insured person is insured by health insurance in accordance with the law and regulations for foreigners who apply for the Non-Immigrant Visa Type O-A.” They may claim they don’t know.
I am not on a DTV but I was curious to see if these are easily handed out. I contacted the Thai embassy in Ottawa and inquired about a cooking course. They said it must be four to six months in duration- that’s all, one four to six month course for a five year DTV.
