exactly! I have been reading all of these comments and this one of yours is spot on. I am not sure why people are saying, “I’ve come in 5 times this year but someone I know got pulled aside his third times.” Irrelevant. Entry is always at the discretion of the IO. But 13 years? I am a bit surprised he was able to get away with it for so long.

thanks! I live in Thailand part of the year, too. What I meant to say was that the government is still only talking about going back to 30 days visa exempt.
