Congrats Mat for getting DTV 😊 by certificate of residence you mean the the one from National Immigration Agency in Taiwan ?

Did you provide any accommodation proof (rental agreement, hotel booking) for your stay in Thailand ?

Btw, did you certified any of your papers by your embassy ? I saw that KL embassy ask for work contract certified by applicant’s embassy. Wonder if Taipei wants the same.

Im going to Taipei in 2 weeks so Im preparing all the documents now and want them to be correct 😊

Thanks for the info. Just to make it super clear for me. Important is final balance right ? I can provide 6 months of statements with matching payment slips but I just deposited 500 k last month. If they need 500k every month for the last 6 months then Im screwed 🙃

It seems now that after the new e-visa system they ask foreigners to go to NIA to obtain certificate. Let us know how it went. I found this info online. Maybe it will help 🙂

How long did it take for them to request the additional documents ? Im thinking to go to Taipei to apply next week

I dont have visa extension i have only multiple entry non-o visa. No extension of that visa

Well thanks for yout wonderful input. Having two passports at the same is actually beneficial and until now I never had a problem.

If I would flown into Laos I could enter with the new passport. Just land borders have this rule and I was not aware of it.

both of my passports are valid. Just one of them is running out of pages but I can still use it until it expires in 8 years
