A friend of mine they did exactly that; a visit to his house, up country. It was his first application for the visa extension due to marriage to a Thai.

I think it’s harder with the UK consulate to do this; do they even have a UK consulate? A friend of mine lost his US passport. A photo of the lost passport made it easier. Otherwise fill out the application, make the appointment online, pay the money and the US Consulate issues a temporary 1 year passport. If the flight out is imminent, just walk in on a day they they are open.

yes, depending if you arrive early it’s only 14. I think after 6 pm it’s 15 days.

and most important, the monthly deposits must show up as ‘International Transfer’ in your bank book and printed bank statements. If it just says ‘Deposit’, it doesn’t count toward the minimum 65,000 THB.
