Not completely true. Non provincial/non temporary (ie Thai 2 year) licenses from ASCEAN member countries are also perfectly valid by international agreement. YMMV

it’s very difficult if not impossible to get health insurance with preexisting conditions.

It’s easier for Thai health, insurance companies to deny you rather than write a policy with exclusions

Arrested, fined, jailed, banned and deported at your own expense. It doesn’t matter if it’s a pill, injection or suppository. You can’t import prescription medications without approval and a license.

You can hand carry a limited supply of most, but not all prescriptions.

I can explain it, but I can’t understand it for you

You cannot legally import medicine into Thailand via mail or courier.

Ask a doctor or pharmacy here if your medicine or a safe substitute is available within Thailand.

A hospital physician is a good place to start.

it’s not difficult to open a bank account in Chiangmai. The people who post it’s impossible probably go to one or two banks, dressed like a slob with a $20 USD initial deposit.

Most western countries have imposed sanctions. Many citizens are prohibited from engaging in ANY type of financial transactions with Myanmar including supporting the military juanta by purchasing a visa or exchanging currency.
