Agents rarely supply money for marriage visas as you yourself can legitimately take it out next day. (albeit apparently not now with bkk bank) Will be a massive game changer if they start doing this for retirement visas, the place will be dead with the mass of deportations 😁

Of course it matters, if for any reason you no longer qualify they withdraw it. He may have gotten shacked up with the one thats 'different'

LTR visa - it's for 10 years but after 5 they check you still qualify

lol it was 'too much work' cos they can't get a kickback from immigration! It's why immigration always try to persuade perfectly happy marriage visa peeps to switch. Agents are rarely to be trusted and should only be used by people who can't afford to be here

For sure go yourself and ask, any immigration I have dealt with have been super friendly. The agents are probably just trying to reel you in to pay more. Don't trust them
