or they ask the embassy, get instructions to follow but do not follow it, get declined and then ask the group why. Please just do not point this out as you will be called names.

@Sara *****
not at state hospitals and in emergencies. Many youngsters come here, rent a scooter and drive without a helmet. Next thing they are involved in an accident and ends up in hospital. Most do not have health cover and the Thais end up paying. The last figure I saw was around B 8 billion a year (pre covid). Many times in the past the Thai government tried to introduce health cover for tourist but never did.

I live in Thailand a long time and have seen so many people getting hurt badly without health cover. They end up running fund me pages or leaves the country owing the hospital money. I think it is your responsibility not to be a drain on the Thai health system and should have cover Covid or not.

Too far in advance to give an answer. When you are near to the end of ASQ you can ask again.

thanks. Just to be clear if you have an embassy letter you do not need to show a bank statement reflecting the international transfers? My problem is that due to foreign exchange laws changing I can no longer do transfers without being in my home country. I can draw the money at an ATM and deposit into my Thai account but not transfers.
