TLDR : Answer Summary
It is possible to leave Thailand with a Non-B visa, but to maintain the validity of the visa upon return, you must obtain a re-entry permit. This can be acquired either at the airport before departure or through a local immigration office. If you leave without the re-entry permit, the visa will be canceled. It's crucial to be aware of the requirements to avoid any problems at the airport.

do you have a WP linked to the non imm B or not?. If you have then that needs to be canceled.

Youcan leave and the visa, will be cancelled. Otherwise you need some docs to allow you to leave and then return keeping the visa active.

In the case of leaving permanently it's usually best to tell nobody because it only brings many problems for you.

She needs to get a ReEntry Permit from her local immigration office or at the airport before going through passport control. B1,000 for single entry

lots of teachers left the country without even notify the school. No One cares here 🥴

You have a reentry visa no problem. If not you need to go to immi and get a reentry permission.

You can leave, but to keep the visa or extension “alive” you’d need a re-entry permit. Upon returning to Thailand you’d get stamped in to whatever date your current stamp is.

No problem. If you wish to return you should have a re-entry, which you can get at the airport.

Is this an extension of stay, or a Non-B visa?

If you are not coming back no need for re-entry. You Non-B will just be cancelled and it is fine.
