My advice is get a Visa agent for the first time. Sure you can do your self for a lot less money. But in the long run. The Vusa agency makes everything happen

Get a Thai bank account. Then call your Canadian Bank with all the details for the transfer and have your bank in Canada send the funds. I have done this with CIBC and the money was in my Thai bank the next day

There’s a difference Permit is not a license. And if you have an IDP you still have to carry you License from your country.

There is no such thing as an International Driving License. Any company offering this, it is a SCAM. No country in the world can issue a driving license to drive in another country.

The only document you need from your bank is a letter from the bank. My bank charges 100 THB and letter is valid for three business days. Then you need copy of your bank book First page and all pages going back one year. Immigration while require passport copy along with copy of entry stamp. Also proof of residency. Photo

you only have to update your passport the day you go to immigration. If no activity with your bank than it will update with the date and balance

I asked this question in Pattaya today but it was for a normal Non O retirement.. 40 days before and the renewal date stays the same
