You do not need an IDP to get a Thai drivers license. If your license is in English you will get what you have on you license from your country. If you have car and motorcycle licence they are issued as two cards. Bring medical certificate and certificate of residency to one and transfer office. Watch video do the reaction test pay the fee and wait to get your

License. First time issued for two years. Next renewals five years

The the easiest way is to go to a Driving School to get your motorcycle license. This will take 5 or 6 days of practice on a scooter and classroom instruction and watching a video. The school also does the practical test on the scooter and exam in classroom. The school will issue the paperwork for you to take to the Land and Transfer office to get your license. The only items you have to get. Is a certificate of residency ( from immigration) and a medical certificate Most clinics will issue this.

To get your car license the easiest way is call the German embassy to ask which translation office they accept. This is done because your German License is in German and it needs to be translated into English. After you have your license translated send translation to German embassy for approval. Once you receive documentation from embassy take paperwork to Land and Transfer office and apply for Thai car license. Do this the same time you go with your paperwork to apply for your motorcycle license. If you apply for both 2 certificate of residency and 2 medical certificates are required

You should confirm what you say on this form. This increase is very recent and only applies if you are just applying for single re entry permit only

I have been told a single re entry fee is now 1500 THB. If you apply for the re entry permit when you get your visa then it is still 1000 THB

This is a Thai form. My experience renewing my Belgium passport in Thailand the Belgium embassy gave me a letter stating the reason for issuing. They told me immigration would require the letter. Which they did. I stated this before and many people have thanked me as they needed it also.

You should also get a letter from your embassy stating the reason for a new passport. This letter you will give to immigration.
