Yea everyone - can we please get it straight? IF FLYING FROM THE US proof of onward travel is needed by the airline before boarding. I’ve flown in from Europe and Persian Gulf countries approx 30 times and have never been asked about an onward ticket.

The people who insist they’ve never been asked for a return ticket are not flying from the US. Hence the mixed message.

I had three rental arrangements in London - ripped off twice. I’ve had six rental arrangements in Thailand. Ripped off never. 😊 And three months deposit is not unusual. Don’t like it … don’t sign. I wouldn’t, personally. It’s a tennant’s market.

Yeah, I did it the other way around. Switching away from Bangkok. I had to front up at my new branch and open an account there as step #1.

Rtn. flight often needed from US. Not often needed from Europe or Arabian gulf.
