Just completed the 30 day extension of my tourist visa in Chiangmai. I was asked for a copy of my TM30 plus there are two new forms to sign, one about the penalties of overstay and the other that it has been explained to you and that you can be turfed for whatever....and my phone number....Went at 8:20 out at 9:30...having been away for two years, I was surprised by the "take a picture of you holding the receipt for the cash and your application picture" and of course I had a big smile representing another happy farang at the one-stop immigration service...actually I did have a smile as the trainees there are so cheerful, I asked her how she could stand working there...alongside the ever-pleasant...you know...
