Trying to avoid the O-A retirement visa.

Brandon Thurkettle 3 months seems like a quick turnaround if the 800k needs to be in the account for 2 months when applying for the extension? I am considering this route but concerned that one month might not be enough time to get a bank account opened in Thailand, especially since I will also need a certificate of residence from immigration. What ar your thoughts?

I am considering doing the same and am wondering if you use an expat mail company or virtual mailbox here in the US? I am considering my options and would rather not ask friends to take care of my mail.
