What advantage do you feel you have with the DTV over Non O based on retirement? The only one I see is that there is no need to tie up 800k. BUT then there are perks you won't have, such as Thai bank account, ability for Thai bill pay, no boarder crossing for 12 months instead of every 6 (DTV), domestic flight discounts, ability to buy vehicles, and there's likely more. Please feel free to add to or correct all of the above. Thank you.

James Miller Excellent and more than reasonable asking to enter within 90 days for DTV or Non O. Thank you for your assistance.

Pardon this second ask...in the case of the DTV and Non O based on retirement, the window is the actual length of the visa? If yes, then the 5 years on the DTV and 90 days on the Non O DAY 1 is day of entry, correct? Thank you for the clarification.

The now enforced visa exempt limit has been in the news for nearly a week. That loop hole is now closed. Get the correct visa for your stay. No problem.

Both Ranong points can be difficult. Consider going on your own without a van load of other bouncers. Have a ticket for onward travel and 20k in cash. Even with all of that be prepared for the possibility of being asked to pay 500-1000 for your stamp. Andaman club is typically more amenable than Victoria point.

Nice. I've not been to vic point in long time. Always nicer at Andaman. Still curious if it happens in other provinces. Thanks Franzi.

OK. Going solo when group runs do not is better.

Not Andaman club... Did you go to vic point?
