I hear there's no limit to how many entries you get in a year when you fly in as opposed to land entry which is limited to 2 times per year. So you could recycle your entry by flying out and fly back in to get another 30 day exempt.

You could also apply for a TR Visa from Laos. You can use these guys

ok that's refreshing, because an embassy employee in Pretoria South Africa was telling me if you go to Thailand without visa you cannot extend the duration after 30 days. 😅
